CLOTHING DONATIONS BEING ACCEPTED:

Please bring your clean, serviceable; men, women & kids clothing to their collection point at the Orange County Courthouse on Saturday, December 18^th between from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  We will be located at the circular driveway at 435 N. Orange Avenue, Orlando to receive your donations and thank you for you contributions.

WHO YOU WILL HELP THIS HOLIDAY SEASON?

Professional clothing is collected to share with litigants appearing in court proceedings in the Ninth Circuit who are unable to provide their own appropriate attire and to individuals going into residential programs. Your donation will help to maintain the dignity of our court proceedings and ensure that the lack of proper attire does not affect the outcome of cases that come before the court.

If the December 18^th drop-off date is not convenient for you, or if you have donations at other times of the year, please call Bob Wesley’s office at 407-836-4806 to arrange a drop off.

All monies raised from this annual booster drive will benefit the Death & Disability Fund for the families of officers injured or killed in the line of duty.

The Orange County Fraternal Order of Police has over 2,000 full-time members, including police officers, sheriff’s deputies, and other law enforcement officers who not only dedicate their lives to keeping our cities safe, but they strive to build a stronger community within our city borders. Founded in 1989 by Anthony Kennedy Shriver, Best Buddies is a vibrant, international organization that has grown from one original chapter to more than 1,400 college, high school and middle school campuses across the country and internationally – positively impacting more than 400,000 individuals last year alone. Best Buddies programs engage participants in each of the 50 United States and has accredited international programs on six continents.

The specific services offered by The CFDFL include a short term detoxification program for outpatients, adolescent residential programs for teenagers who have become dysfunctional due to excessive substance abuse, adult residential programs for those who need a safe place to recover and safely overcome their drug or alcohol dependencies, and HIV prevention and testing programs for the community.  The CFDFL would not be successful without the generous donations from local residents and companies in Central Florida.  The Men’s Divorce Law Firm in Winter Park looks forward to working with The Center for Drug-Free Living and is currently organizing a fundraising event for the agency.  Keep checking back with our blog for future opportunities on how you can get involved with our community service initiative.
