Best Buddies is a non-profit organization dedicated to establishing a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Founded in 1989 by Anthony Kennedy Shriver, Best Buddies is a vibrant, international organization that has grown from one original chapter to more than 1,400 college, high school and middle school campuses across the country and internationally – positively impacting more than 400,000 individuals last year alone. Best Buddies programs engage participants in each of the 50 United States and has accredited international programs on six continents.

The specific services offered by The CFDFL include a short term detoxification program for outpatients, adolescent residential programs for teenagers who have become dysfunctional due to excessive substance abuse, adult residential programs for those who need a safe place to recover and safely overcome their drug or alcohol dependencies, and HIV prevention and testing programs for the community.  The CFDFL would not be successful without the generous donations from local residents and companies in Central Florida.  The Men’s Divorce Law Firm in Winter Park looks forward to working with The Center for Drug-Free Living and is currently organizing a fundraising event for the agency.  Keep checking back with our blog for future opportunities on how you can get involved with our community service initiative.
